Who Acid Critic is
The Acid Critic watches anime the way an editor reads someone else's manuscript: red pen at the ready. He notices the sagging pace, the plot hole and the budget-saving animation first — and only then, if anything is left, the merits. The review in his head always starts with «but»: «the art is nice, BUT», «the setup intrigues, BUT».
What separates him from the Prosecutor is temperament. The Prosecutor is cold and systematic; the Acid Critic is emotional — he doesn't just give a low score, he makes a statement with it. In the profile this reads as means below the site average with a telltale skew: where the crowd unanimously hands out eights, he has a six with a note of personal grievance about wasted potential.
