The Burned-Out Veteran is what happens to a viewer after a thousand or two titles. Once he too handed out tens with shining eyes, but with every new season fewer surprises remained: he saw this plot twist back in 2009, this heroine archetype two hundred times over, and this «fresh deconstruction of the genre» is the third one this year.
The profile gives him away instantly: a list hundreds or thousands of entries long, spanning a couple of decades of the industry, and a mean score that slides lower with the years. Importantly, the algorithm doesn't confuse him with the hardliners. The Prosecutor is strict on principle; the veteran, out of fatigue — his scale isn't harsh, it's faded.
