Who Mecha Pilot is

The Mecha Pilot is convinced that real drama happens in the cockpit of a war machine — and he has half a century of material to prove it. His list is the Gundam timelines in chronological order, Macross, Evangelion and everything in between: a genre that was once the face of the industry and has become the catacomb faith of the chosen.

It's one of the rarest classes on the site: mecha stopped being mainstream long ago, and the algorithm accounts for it — the concentration bar is lower than for popular genres, yet only a handful clear even that. Nobody lands here by accident: «watched Eva because everyone did» earns no class. A system is required: a real share of the list handed to the robots.

Within his niche the Pilot is the most doctrinaire expert of all the genre classes. He tells real robots from super robots, will gladly explain why the politics in Gundam matter more than the fights, and patiently awaits the genre's renaissance the way people await a golden age's return. Judging by the periodic revivals — not in vain.
